Skip the guesswork at the counter
First kit shopping is mostly a vocabulary problem. Pods, mods, coils, salt nic, 20 mg - the wall makes sense once you know four words. Here is the short version our staff give across the counter every day.
Pod system or mod kit
Almost every first-timer lands on one of two shapes.
Pod systems are the small ones. A battery, a snap-in pod, nothing to configure. The Vaporesso XROS and Uwell Caliburn lines dominate our pod wall because they are hard to use wrong: fill, wait a minute, done. Pods themselves are replaceable, so the device outlives many refills.
Mod kits are bigger, with adjustable power and a separate tank. More vapour, more battery, more to learn. Browse the mods and kits range if you already know you want control over everything - otherwise a pod system is the saner first buy.

The juice question
Devices and e-liquid pair by nicotine type. Salt nic works in low-power pod systems; freebase suits bigger mod kits. The plain-language breakdown lives in our salt nic vs freebase explainer, but the counter version: tell staff your device and they will point you at the right shelf of the e-liquid wall.
One rule covers everything in BC: nicotine caps at 20 mg/mL by law. Anything stronger does not legally exist here - see Health Canada's vaping product regulations for the full framework. Nicotine is addictive, and every product we sell carries that warning.
What a fair first setup runs
No prices posted online - we sell in store only - but expect a pod system, a pack of pods and a bottle of juice to land well under what two weeks of disposables costs. Coils and replacement pods are the ongoing expense; our coils and batteries section stocks the majors so you are never stranded on a dead coil at 2 a.m. That matters when your shop never closes.
Bring your ID, seriously
Every MooseVape store is 19+ with government photo ID checked at the door, no matter how old you look - the full ID rundown is here. Then come browse in person at any of our five stores: Newton, Surrey Central, Delta, Denman or Abbotsford. Open 24/7, staffed by people who will match you to a kit rather than upsell you one.
